The Power of Prayer Partners – Beloved Women – June 16, 2021
Trust between two people is a treasured gift. Throw in a commitment to grow in Christ, through prayer; and you may have the makings of a prayer partnership. I’ve had a few through the years, and I thank God for how He meets us in our weekly commitment. By His grace, I’ve learned there is POWER in a prayer partnership.
Personal accountability helps us stay on track with our goals and God’s principles -- and admit the times when we don't. Without accountability, it's easy to lose moral sensibility.
"One another" emphasizes a mutual commitment to walk in grace and truth. Knowing we're "in this together" creates a shared sense of value, vulnerability and victory. (Hebrews 10:24)
Worship and wisdom work in tandem, as we recognize we're in God's presence, to receive His counsel. (Colossians 3:16)
Edification is our goal. We aim to build each other up; especially when disappointments are tearing us down. (1 Thessalonians 5:1)
Rich fellowship is the result when our sharing and praying, helps us to walk in the light of God's Word. (1 John 1:7)
Dear God, Thank you for how you meet me when I come to you alone. Thank you for the gift of praying with others. If this is a season for me to have a prayer partner, lead me in that endeavor or strengthen my current connections. May you always be my focus, as I come to you in prayer. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
