Living Fearless – Beloved Women – March 8, 2019
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. - 2 Corinthians 12:9 ESV
I remember at my former place of employment on my lunch break I used to walk up and down this big hill. On the 5th time up I realized that my pace had changed. I was out of breath, I could feel the pressure in my legs and I was in a little bit of pain. From time to time I would take a look back to see how far I had come. At that moment I wanted to give up or stop, but when I turned back around and looked forward, I realized I didn't have much left to go so I kept going.
Sometimes in the middle of the journey we become discouraged, we become weak, and we become vulnerable. The enemy will try to attack us when we are at our lowest or our weakest point. He will try to fill us with discouragement, doubt, and fear. I encourage you to continue to press through the pain, through the pressure and despite what you may be going through or having to endure at this moment. These light afflictions are only temporary. What’s at the top of the hill is much greater than what is behind you.
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for giving me the patience to endure, the strength to keep going and the power to overcome. I am grateful that even in my moments of weakness I can find strength in you. In Jesus Name, I pray. Amen.
What things are holding you back? What things do you need to let go of?
