Trusting God’s Perfect Timing – Beloved Women – November 26, 2019
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season, we will reap, if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9 ESV)
There are three things that God has been dealing with me on: process, timing, and patience. During seasons of waiting, we might feel the need to take shortcuts. We are tempted to become impatient and try to see if there is a quicker way for us to get to our destination. However, when we take shortcuts through life, we miss out on the very things that God is trying to teach us.
If we jump ahead of God, we’ll get to our destination before it is time. We then forfeit the lessons we needed to learn before we got there. We may get there faster, but we won’t be prepared. Don’t skip the process, be patient, and give it time. God knows what He’s doing.
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for divine timing for my life. Help me that I may not try to take short cuts and do things on my own, so I may develop patience to wait on you. In Jesus Christ Name, I pray, Amen.
Are there places in your life where you have taken shortcuts? What are some things that you can do better while you are waiting?
Don’t skip the process, be patient, and give it time. God knows what He’s doing.
