Read Revelation 19

In Today's Reading:

Marriage supper of the Lamb; Rider on the white horse; Satan bound and doomed; great white throne judgment

I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True (the Lord Jesus Christ), and in righteousness He doth judge and make war (Revelation 19:11). Jesus Christ, the true Messiah, will soon return in victorious conquest, fulfilling the twofold role of High Priest and Judge. And I saw the beast (the Antichrist), and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him that sat on the horse, and against His army (19:19) in an attempt to destroy Christ's Kingdom and His foretold reign.

Another scene takes place before a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire (20:11-15). This is the final destination of Satan, the Antichrist and false prophet, and all who are deceived by them and ignore the Lordship of Christ over their lives. God will not push His way into anyone's life. Repentance is the redemptive experience which leads to saving faith and forgiveness.

Think how thrilling it will be for all who do repent of their sins and accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of their lives. They will be joined in eternal union with Christ, and see again their loved ones and all the saints of the ages including Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, David, and Paul. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God Omnipotent (All-Powerful) reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife (all followers of Christ) hath made herself ready (Revelation 19:5-7)
