Today's verse is Exodus 32:8 with Carol McCracken.
They have been quick to turn away from what I commanded them and have made themselves an idol cast in the shape of a calf. They have bowed down to it and sacrificed to it and have said, ‘These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.'
Lord, show us where fear has tempted us, to trust something other than you. Give us the courage to wait, the faith to obey, and the humility to return when we fall. Shape us into people who lead with conviction, compassion, and trust in your faithfulness.
