JOY

I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. — John 15:11
Through the years there have been some really funny church bulletin bloopers. Here are a few of my personal favorites:
This afternoon there will be a meeting in the north and south ends of the church and children will be christened at both ends.
Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. there will be an invitation to an ice cream social. All ladies giving milk please come early.
Wednesday, the Ladies Literary Society will meet and Mrs. Lacey will sing, "Put Me in My Little Bed" accompanied by the Reverend.
This Sunday, being Easter, we will ask Mrs. Daly to come forward and lay an egg on the altar.

My son is under the doctor's care and should not take PE. Please execute him.
Please excuse Joey on Friday. He had loose vowels.
Of course we understood what these parents meant to say about their kids' sicknesses and problems but it didn't come out just right.
Far too many people think God is the Great Killjoy. I have a feeling when he saw those bloopers he had a belly laugh with some of the angels. Joy and laughter come from God. Take a moment today to celebrate His presence in your life.
One person put it this way: "If Christians have really been redeemed, someone should remind them to tell their face." Smile! God loves you!
