Bread of Heaven
“And they that know Thy name will put their trust in Thee: for Thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek Thee.” Psalm 9:10
After World War II, in an effort to help boys left as orphans, a group of humanitarians housed them in tent cities. However, the boys would wake up in the night from nightmares. Then a psychiatrist surmised that their fear was the result of their uncertain future.
That psychiatrist decided to feed the boys a big meal each night, and then give them each a piece of bread. He instructed them to hold the bread in their hands so it could be their breakfast the next morning. Somehow just holding in their hands a piece of bread helped them to sleep all night.
When you go to bed tonight, I want you to have bread, not in your hand, but in your heart. He is the bread of Heaven, and His name is Jesus!
Take a walk with the Lord today, and tell Him your fears.
Confidently place them before the Lord, and trust in His love to provide.
