God's Will

today's reading.
Luke 22:39-46

the blog.
Since we only looked at the first verse of this passage yesterday, I thought we should consider all of it today.

As I read, I had no problem envisioning the scenario. And as I considered Jesus, it was almost as if I could feel the heaviness of the situation. Jesus was fully aware that He was going to be arrested, mocked, tortured and then murdered in just a few hours. So what does He do? He prays--very transparently and with emotion, speaking these incredible words, "Not my will, but yours, be done." (vs. 42).

How did Jesus' example impact and move your heart today? Is submitting to God's will a regular part of your prayers? Tami
