But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.

--Psalm 1:2

A true man or woman of God is separated from the world in their thoughts, their actions, and in the way they speak. But a man or woman of God also saturates his life with the Word of God.

For the Christian, the Word of God is not an obligation. It’s an opportunity to spend time with God!

And you want to spend time with those that you love. If you love God the way you ought to love God, you'll want to spend time with Him.

The way to spend time with God...the way to fellowship with God…is by spending time in His Word. So the man or woman of God appreciates the Word of God, they long to hear the Word of God, and they love to read the Word of God.

But not only do they appreciate the Word of God, they meditate on the Word of God. Now, I’m not talking about the new age type of meditation you hear so much about today. Any meditation that isn’t Christian meditation or biblical meditation is damaging and destructive!

As believers, we shouldn’t put our minds in neutral and open them up to anything. Biblical meditation is to concentrate upon the Scripture.

Friend, we need to meditate on the Word to become true men and women of God!
