Time with God - Aug. 16, 2010
Monday 16th August
For I am not ashamed of the gospel…for the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men.…But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God.
God's righteous judgment and wrath will be released on those who do not turn to Him through the gospel of Jesus Christ!
Some of the most important truths of life are unpopular, and this is one of them. It is not popular in our day to speak about hell or to say that people we know will actually face God's judgment and wrath. But there is nothing more certain in Scripture than that truth. If you are a Christian and believe the Bible, you need to acknowledge there are people around you who will face God's eternal judgment.
It is unpleasant. But if you ignore it and do nothing about it, then those people may never hear of what God has done for them, at such great pain to Himself, to make a way for them to experience His love and grace and mercy instead of His judgment. If they don't hear, then they will not find God's forgiveness and they will be lost forever.
Take a few minutes of silence and let this truth sink into your heart. God wants you to share His love with those around you.
