Waterfall of Wonder - Warrior Mom Wisdom - Week of August 10

Warrior Mom Wisdom Devotional

Waterfall of wonder

Spending time with God in His Word (He is the Word: John 1:1) allows us to be as if a waterfall emitting wonder and grace to all with whom we come in contact. When we commit ourselves to His Word, His Word becomes written on our hearts, spoken from our lips, and evident in our actions.

Have you noticed that when you run into someone who emits this waterfall of grace from The Wonderful Counselor, you can sense that they have spent time with the Master because the very essence of their words reflect the essence of Him? In the same way that children talk and act like their parents, even adopting the same mannerisms without even knowing it, so too do we, as Children of God, have the opportunity to allow the waterfall of His Wonder to refresh those with whom we communicate.

People are attracted to people who benefit them. It’s human nature to want to be around people who make us feel good, encourage us, and challenge us to raise our standards. As I began to lead at my church, and begin to train other leaders to serve, I noticed a common occurrence; the servants who committed themselves to spending time with The Mighty Counselor became the most influential ambassadors of His love.

And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6
