Every Second of Your Faith Is Already Spent - Warrior Mom Wisdom - Week of September 13

Warrior Mom Wisdom Devotional

Every Second of Your Faith Is Already Spent

The economy of Heaven is based on faith. Let me explain. I’ve given an example before of someone going on a job interview. They have to have enough “faith” that they can get the job to even have the strength to show up for the job interview. Those who didn’t believe they could get the job did not show up on interview day; this devotional is about the one who shows up.

Those that show up on interview day are candidates for the job which will be attached to a salary. That salary will lead to the ability to purchase a car, gas, clothes, food, a house and sometimes even a movie ticket and popcorn. The faith to show up leads to the purchase of many things from a house to a bag of popcorn. Faith can be looked at in much the same way. Consider Heaven a Store of Miracles. God is capable of miracles. Only He can provide the power for them to occur, but He loves to partner with His children to deliver them to others. He is waiting for us to spend some-seconds of faith/i.e. dollars of faith and order some.

When we show up with the pockets and purses of our souls full of faith with the intention of spending it all, God says, “Yes! I have been waiting for your request; in fact, those faith dollars have already been allocated to a particular need; I was just waiting for you to show up and purchase it with your belief.”

Let me define seconds of faith

Seconds of Faith: any thought, action, prayer, and belief, and time spent in studying His Word claiming that God can do anything. Any time that you spend (in thought, action, prayer, belief, and time in His Word) is translated into seconds of faith. The seconds of faith that your thought, action, prayer, belief, and time spent in His Word becomes translated into – then, becomes yours for the spending.

Then, all that is required is for you to show up with your seconds of faith and purchase miracles by the bucket-full. For a visual, think of Chuck E. Cheese: you know how kids get those tickets (earned from time in the game-area) and then they go to the counter and purchase prizes based on how many tickets they earned from the time spent in the game room? Well, the same is true for your seconds of faith. They translate into “faith dollars” to be spent in the Miracle Store in Heaven. And God, like any parent, is so excited to see His children acquire seconds upon seconds of faith (through time spent in prayer, belief, thought, action, and studying His Word) and then show up to purchase Miracles!

It took me two days to fully comprehend all this. Today, God impressed upon me that “every second of my faith is already spent” because He has already allocated my seconds of faith to miracles for others that He knew would be needed before I was even in my mother’s womb. Therefore, when He says that every second of my faith is already spent I understand that I am expected to use the faith dollars towards the allocated miracles that He has designated them. This means that I don’t just go around handing out miracles left and right based on needs that I meet for people (wearing myself out trying to be like a “God” to people).

Instead it means that I go to God and let Him know that I am here and I would LOVE to purchase a miracle for someone else with my seconds of faith. God, then, hands me the miracle assignment for which He has already allocated those faith-dollars. My job is to show up with pocket-fulls of faith and spend them all, continually coming back with more and more and more to the Miracle Store in Heaven.

Time and time again, in the Bible, when people showed up with an amazing faith, Jesus received their faith (as a purchase) in exchange for a miracle! He did this for the centurion (Jesus was astonished at his faith!), the woman who had been sick for 12 years (she merely touched the hem of His garment and Jesus felt the “power” leave him. As she touched him, her faith was spent and her miracle was purchased in full on the spot! There were parents of dead and sick children, sisters and brothers of dead siblings (Lazarus), the widow who was in debt and believed enough to have the oil continually flow, those who were deaf, blind, and lame all received miracles because they spent all their faith on them.

The great thing about faith is there’s always more where that came from because it comes from God, and He has an unlimited supply! On the contrary, if we spend all our earthly money we have simply in order to work to attain more, we exhaust ourselves.  In regard to seconds of faith, however, God expects us to spend it all and continually go to Him for more. He meets us in our faith and as He reaches out His hand to give us handfuls more of it He pauses…. Before we race off to spend it all He says, “Remember, child there’s always more where that came from; come back for more as soon as possible!”

Two days ago when God said, “Every second of your faith is already spent.” I understood immediately that I must live and walk in faith, purchasing the miracles He has allocated to me as a delivery agent to others. I must do this over and over again because the miracles He has allocated to be delivered through me during this space in time, through my life on this earth, are already there waiting. He’s known about them for centuries!

God has miracles waiting for us and those around us; He merely wants us to continually spend every second of our faith because in His mind, it is already spent. He has known about someone’s need and He has orchestrated a way for that need to be met. He has thought, “This will be a good one for Kristina; I hope she is obedient today to enter the Miracle Store today and purchase this allocated miracle with her seconds of faith.”

When you go to Him, in alignment with His will from continually being with Him in His Word, with the kind of faith that literally moves mountains the mountain will move! Every second of my faith is waiting to be spent on an already allocated miracle in Heaven, waiting to be delivered to someone on earth. Therefore, every second of my faith is already spent, and I’m going back for more! If you believe that God can do the job through you today, I encourage you to show up.
