A Prayer for the Gospel to Reach the Ends of the Earth

Time is running out. It is an earthly limitation that will one day end when eternity begins. I know that time is just a vapor, and I’m concerned that many people still haven’t heard the good news of Jesus. This is why I believe in evangelism and worldwide missions.
Not everyone can go across the world to share the good news, but we can tell it right where we are. This is personal evangelism, and it is very important to the kingdom of God. If every believer committed to speaking to just one unbeliever about Jesus Christ, we could double our local congregations each year.
There are so many people among us, in our communities, who are confused and have never heard the simple gospel. Truth be told, even in our own families.
As time marches on, let us be bolder and braver for Jesus. Let’s tell our children, grandchildren, neighbors, and co-workers. Let us be tactful as we interact with familiar faces at the local businesses we frequent. When you begin a conversation, ask God to give you wisdom and the right timing to speak on His behalf.
While we share the gospel in our little corner of the world, let us also keep in prayer those whom God has called to go where we cannot. And as we pray for them, let us also prayerfully consider how we can give generously from our finances so the good news can reach the ends of the earth.
The Bible commands us in Mark to go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to all creation. Everybody ought to know who Jesus is so they can make a choice. They can choose to believe and accept Him, or choose to reject Him.
I believe there will be a final person who hears the gospel and makes a choice. But until that time comes, we, as God’s children, are tasked with being the hands and feet of Jesus, taking the gospel to the ends of the earth.
If God has called you to go, be obedient.
If God has blessed you financially and the Holy Spirit has given you the gift of giving, be obedient.
This is how we show the world we love them: by obeying God’s commands. We are called to love God and love people, and we do this by caring about the eternal destiny of those who are lost. We should have compassion on the lost and a desire to rescue the perishing from death and eternal separation.
Let us be people who are unashamed and eager to share the good news so God can be glorified and people can come to saving grace. I am so thankful that someone shared the gospel with me, and that I now have the opportunity to share it with others.
Let’s Pray:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your goodness that leads people to repentance. Thank You for the beauty of the world You created that displays Your glory. But even beyond that, thank You for the gospel, the good news of salvation.
Thank You for pastors, teachers, evangelists, and missionaries. Your Word asks, “How will they hear without a preacher?” Father, You have called many, and I am so thankful for those who have answered that call. Many are serving in remote and dangerous places, ensuring the gospel reaches the ends of the earth.
Protect them, O Lord. Provide for them. Keep their feet beautiful as they share Your truth.
Help me give back to You financially by supporting world missions. Remind me to pray without ceasing and to faithfully remember those on the mission field.
Use me right where I am to be a mouthpiece for You; to shine Your light and share Your good news.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
