Candace Cameron Bure Reflects on Faith and Family as Daughter Says 'I Do'

Christian actress and producer Candace Cameron Bure had the joy of watching her daughter walk down the aisle with the man of her daughter’s dreams on Sunday. Natasha and Bradley Steven Perry became wife and husband, according to the Christian Post. “We couldn’t have asked for a kinder man than Bradley to love and care for our girl,” Bure said before she addressed her daughter, according to ChurchLeaders.com. “Natasha, you are radiant inside and out and are already the best wife to your beloved.”
The elegant wedding took place at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, California with 125 guests in attendance, according to People.
The Couple Speaks about What a Marriage Commitment Means to Them
The couple told People that the wedding was “surreal and overwhelming in all the best ways. There is nothing better than marrying your best friend.”
They went on to express how “blessed” they felt to be “surrounded by the most incredible family and friends – people who have cheered us on, shaped us, and stood by us.”
"Marriage to me is making a lifelong commitment to the person that you were born to be with," Perry told People. "Natasha is that for me. I get to wake up every day and choose her and honor her. She is everything I’ve ever wanted."
"I’m choosing Bradley every single day — in the fun and exciting times, and also the quiet or harder moments. We’re building a life together, side by side," Natasha said. "We both have so many dreams and aspirations that we get to conquer as one now. Bradley is my best friend and I’m so lucky to get a partner for life through it all."
Bure Was Intentional about Instilling Biblical Principles in Her Children
Bure told Christian Post that she was intentional about instilling Biblical principles in her children from the time they were young, as well as being an example to them of what it looks like to serve the Lord with your life.
“We're definitely in a time of a culture war, and I think the best thing that any of us can do as parents is to be consistent and that we actually walk our walk and we show it by example and not just talk the talk,” she said.
She went on to note that being consistent it isn’t easy, but children are always watching their parents to see what they’ll do, and whether or not the words and actions of their parents line up consistently.
“The Bible tells us to ‘train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old, they won't depart from it.’ I believe in intentional parenting. We taught out of the Bible, and I'm grateful to see that I have adult children today who are all following that road and that path, loving the Lord.”
