Candace Cameron Bure's Son Lev Takes Steps Toward Ministry: 'Thankful' to be Part of 'His Mission'

Many Christian parents pray that their children will grow up to embody a faith of their own. As Proverbs 22:6 notes, “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it” (NIV). For former "Full House" star Candace Cameron Bure, the fruit of this dream is just starting to grow.

Lev Bure, Bure’s middle child and 26-year-old son, preached his first sermon on Dec. 29, 2025. Focusing on Jesus’ call to “Abide,” Lev has now encountered an unexpected and more permanent opportunity to continue sharing the Gospel.

After growing up in a Christian home and being invited to give sermons at just 19 years old in their local church (Shepherd of the Hills Church in Los Angeles), Bure has since accepted speaking opportunities that come his way:

“We all get to be part of God’s mission to glorify Him and make Him known to the world,” Bure said. “And we all get to do that in millions of different ways, and I’m thankful that this is a way that God’s allowed me to kind of be part of His mission.”

While Bure’s exact future is still uncertain, Bure said he would consider full-time ministry if God opened those doors:

“If it’s something that He would grace me with and continue to in the future, absolutely,” he said. “It’s something I would love to pursue. I love to do and I have a heart for it.”

Crediting his parents’ model of Christ and his personal relationship with Jesus, Bure wants everyone to experience the love and transformation of Jesus.

“I’m passionate about people knowing Jesus, and I’m passionate about being part of that mission,” he said, according to CBN. “I think it’s why we as believers, we’re here … to glorify God and make Him known. And so, realistically, I think I’ve gotten to be part of that a little bit and through communicating His word, and so I’d love to see that grow."
