14-Year-Old Praises Jesus on ‘The Voice’ With Worship-Filled Forrest Frank Song

A 14-year-old contestant brought the audience to its feet on Tuesday on NBC’s The Voice with a stirring rendition of Forrest Frank’s Your Way’s Better, a Christian song centered on surrender and trust in God.
Max Chambers of Louisiana stood center stage, wearing a cross necklace and surrounded by singers and dancers who enthusiastically joined him in the chorus: “Oh Lord, I need You now more than ever/ would You put my heart back together? / I searched the world ’til my head hurt / just to find out Your way’s better/ oh-oh, Your way’s better / Jesus, Your way’s better.”
His rendition had the judges standing, too, with Snoop Dogg dancing and clapping along.
Chambers first appeared on The Voice during the blind auditions in September, performing the Jackson 5 classic I Want You Back and earning a spot on Team Michael Bublé, where his stage presence and polished vocals helped him stand out.
Chambers grew up singing in church and has been vocal about his faith on social media.
Bublé applauded his song choice.
“It’s bold to be open about your faith,” Bublé told Chambers during the show this week. “You know how many people are watching at home that might be shy to share theirs? And the fact that you just did that – thank you.”
Frank shared a clip of Chambers’ performance on Instagram, applauding the young singer and highlighting Michael Bublé’s comment.
“Got chills when he said that at the end,” Frank said of Bublé.
Frank expressed amazement at Chambers’ age, adding: “AND HE’S ONLY 14?!”
Singer Tori Kelly wrote, “love this!!!”
Your Way’s Better is one of Frank’s more popular songs and even sparked a TikTok dance trend. It won Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year at this year’s Dove Awards.
“Wooooow woooow woooow,” one person wrote on Frank’s post. “COME ON JESUS! Raising up the youth in the last days!”
