5,000 Students Worship Jesus at UCF: ‘God Is Moving in a Powerful Way’

The movement of God on college campuses that began in fall 2023 and continued through 2024 and 2025 showed no signs of slowing down Tuesday night.

The first Unite US event of 2026 drew more than 5,000 students from the University of Central Florida (UCF) inside the school’s Addition Financial Arena, where 1,600 made decisions for Christ and hundreds were baptized.

The very first Unite US event was held in September 2023 at Auburn University, drawing thousands of college students to worship Christ and hear testimonies of life change. Since then, more than 140,000 students have taken part in similar gatherings nationwide, from Florida to Ohio to Arizona. The movement has drawn comparisons to historic revivals, including the Jesus Movement of the 1970s.

“We’re still in awe of the life change we continue to witness across the country,” the Unite US official Instagram page said. “God is moving in a powerful way on college campuses, and we know He’s not done yet!”

Unite US founder Tonya Prewett added that “many who identified as Atheist now identify as Christian.”

“What a night! What a God!”

Similar to events on other campuses, Unite US recruited UCF athletes in the days leading up to the event to record videos inviting students. Jonathan Bibbs, a wide receiver on the football team, encouraged students to “come celebrate and worship Jesus with everybody.” Andrew Williamson, an outfielder on the baseball team, said in his video that he was “looking forward to getting with my brothers and sisters in Christ and being able to worship the Lord.”

“It will be a great night,” he added.

Prewett told Fox News she believes a revival is sweeping through college campuses.

“Students right now are so hungry for truth and for hope,” she said, “and I think they've looked for it in every other place, and they're realizing that the only truth and hope that they need is found in Jesus Christ.”
