Florida Couple Says ‘God Was in Control’ After Plane Lands on Road and Everyone Survives

A Florida pastor and his wife are crediting divine intervention after a plane landed on an interstate, leaving no one dead and sparing a woman in what they call a miracle.
Pastor Bernard Wigley of Thy Kingdom Come Ministries and his wife Annie, a nurse, were driving down Interstate-95 in Florida Monday when they noticed a small airplane – a fixed-wing multi-engine Beechcraft 55 – making an emergency landing on the road. It quickly turned into a terrifying moment for the motorists below when the plane crashed into an unsuspecting vehicle, crushing much of the car’s roof.
Incredibly, the passenger in that crumpled car, a 57-year-old woman, survived. The pilots, too, walked away with only minor injuries.
Videos of the incident have gone viral.

“I knew it was God that saved her absolutely, even the two pilots that landed and only hit the one car. I knew God was in control,” Annie Wigley told Fox 35 Orlando.
At the time, the Wigleys were driving their daughter to the airport and – they said – they happened to be praying.
Providentially, the plane landed on the road between two pockets of traffic. If it had landed seconds earlier or seconds later, Bernard Wigley said, the outcome could have been tragic.
“That could have been total destruction, total destruction,” he told Fox 35. “That could have 12 to 15 cars. There could have been fire from the fuel of the plane and total chaos like something you see in a movie.”
The Wigleys were driving on the other side of the interstate when the airplane landed. They stopped to help.
“For a minute, the traffic slowed down, and we could run across the street to see if anybody was injured,” Bernard said.
Annie’s daughter is also a nurse.
“It was awful. I absolutely expected to see someone that was either bleeding or possibly even dead,” Annie told WESH 2.
The car’s passenger was dazed – but fine.
“The car was totaled except the driver's seat. That was the only part. I mean, the car was crushed,” the pastor said.
Said Annie, “I give God all the credit and thanks because He preserved life that day, and it was a miracle. It was truly a miracle.”
