Noah Schnacky Says ‘God Opened the Doors’ for Him to Leave Country Music

A singer in JWLKRS Worship who once made a name for himself in country-pop music says he left it all behind after experiencing a powerful call from God. Noah Schnacky was a successful country-pop artist who amassed millions of streams on songs such as Hello Beautiful and Maybe We Will while building a massive social media following -- more than 7 million on TikTok alone as of today. In 2018, he even received a Teen Choice Awards nomination.

But then, he says, he felt God leading him into another chapter of life.

Today, Schnacky is one of the voices in JWLKRS Worship, a music collective that includes his sister Allie and a close-knit team of friends and creatives with a shared passion for Christ.

"It was a calling. I felt like I was supposed to," he told Crosswalk Headlines, referencing his decision to leave country-pop for the world of Christian music. "So we found a way to convince our label that we needed to buy our way out of our deal. And at first, they didn't believe us. …And so God opened the doors and provided the opportunity for us to do it, and it was a miracle."

JWLKRS Worship was already a rising worship collective when Noah joined around 2023. A story about his grandfather surviving a medical scare -- he was paralyzed but recovered -- helped inspire the song Silence, which has 12 million streams on Spotify.

They were nominated for two K-Love Fan Awards this year: Group of the Year and Worship Song of the Year (In the Name of Jesus).

"It's obvious that God's winking at this, and just saying that we're supposed to do it, so we're just continuing on the path," Schnacky said.

His sister, Allie Schnacky, said the group exists to spread the love of God.

"The message that speaks so heavily to not just my heart, but the entire group, is that God is so much more real than you could ever imagine. If we could open our minds to begin to grasp how involved He is in every single detail -- nothing that this world has to offer even comes close," Allie told Crosswalk Headlines.

Meanwhile, Noah Schnacky is still celebrating his December engagement to Kristin Marino -- an event covered by People Magazine.

"Good things come to those who are patient, and good things come to those who are seeking His answers," he told Crosswalk Headlines. "I was patient with it. I dated her for a few years now. She's the love of my life. There's no one like her, and I feel so much peace in this season because I did it the right wayand I was patient with it."
