After Thinking She Would Never Get Pregnant Again, She Did, with Identical Triplets

Brittany Ingram’s story is the latter.

They Waited Ten Long Years

After ten long years of heartbreak and hope deferred, Brittany, a wife, mother, and faith-filled woman from Deatsville, Alabama, gave birth to identical triplet girls. And it’s not just a story about miracle babies. It’s a story about unrelenting faith, fierce motherhood, and a God who writes the most unexpected plot twists when we think the story is over.

Back in 2015, Brittany was diagnosed with endometriosis and PCOS. Two diagnoses that often carry the weight of "maybe not ever." Doctors told her and her husband, Josh, that having more children would be unlikely without more surgeries or fertility treatment. And though their first child, JB, was a beautiful and unexpected gift, the pain of miscarriages and failed attempts in the years that followed left Brittany heart-worn and weary.

They Left it Up to God

“After JB, we tried again a few more times, and I had a miscarriage, and it just didn’t work, and that was so heartbreaking,” Brittany said. “We were just kind of leaving it up to God and saying, ‘If it’s meant to be, it’ll be. If it’s not, it won’t.’”

Ten years. Ten years of waiting, wondering, and walking through disappointment with nothing but raw hope and prayer holding her steady.

And then, in August 2024, she took a test. Positive. A whisper of possibility. But Brittany didn’t just feel pregnant—she dreamed it. Literally.

She Had a Dream about Triplets

“I had a dream we were having triplets,” she said. “I woke up and told my husband... He said, ‘Oh my gosh. What would we do? Don’t dream stuff like that.’”

But sometimes, the things we’re afraid to dream out loud are the very things God is preparing. At the first ultrasound, the doctor paused. “There’s three babies,” they said. “I’ve never seen this before.”

Triplets. Identical triplets. And no fertility treatment. No medical intervention. Just a miracle multiplied by three.

Their Family Didn’t Believe Them

“We were both just, like, excited, scared, and it took us a few days to process it,” Brittany shared. “None of our family believed us when we came home and told them.”

The road wasn’t easy. Bed rest at 19 weeks. Emergency surgery at 22 weeks to keep labor at bay. Birth at just 30 weeks. Postpartum preeclampsia. Heart failure. NICU stays.

And yet—Grace held. Tiny girls fought their way into the world: Emersyn Claire. Adalyn Renae. Layla Michele.

In Identical Triplets Are Healthy

Now, months later, all three girls are “perfectly healthy,” according to their pediatrician. And Brittany, Josh, and big brother JB are soaking in the sweet chaos of life as a family of six, grateful for every late-night feeding, every snuggle, every cry that reminds them: they are here.

For anyone walking through infertility, loss, or the ache of unanswered prayers, Brittany has a word for you:

“Don’t give up. There’s always hope... Just because it’s not on your timing doesn’t mean it’s not ever going to happen.”

Faith Doesn’t Always Look Like Fireworks

Because faith doesn’t always look like fireworks, sometimes it’s the quiet “yes, Lord” when everything says “no.” Sometimes it’s staying open, even when your heart is sore from waiting. Sometimes, it’s dreaming triplets when logic says it's impossible and believing anyway.

This story isn’t just about babies. It’s about believing through barrenness. It’s about how heaven has perfect timing. It’s about miracles that come wrapped in diapers and pink hospital blankets.

So to the woman wondering if it’s too late, if God forgot, if she’s asking for too much—Take a breath. Read Brittany’s story again. And know this: Your “impossible” is still possible with God.

Psalm 27:14 "Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!"
