A K-9 deputy tracks down three missing children after they wander away from their campsite. It’s just incredible how man’s best friend can do things that save lives and all with the scent of their nose.
If you need a reason to believe God still sends help on four paws, this is it. Three young children wandered away from their family's campsite near the Midland Bike Trail, east of Buena Vista, Colorado, and what followed was hours of fear, an army of rescuers, and one very good dog named Arch.

The family noticed the children, one just 9 years old and another only 6, were missing and searched on their own for two hours before calling for help in desperation. Deputies with the Chaffee County Sheriff's Office rushed in, joined by search-and-rescue volunteers, drones, a helicopter, and teams on foot combing the wilderness in a careful grid.
Then they brought in Arch, and everything changed.
K-9 Deputy Arch Picks Up Their Scent Almost Immediately
Arch is a canine deputy, and the moment he arrived, the nose God gave him went to work. Sheriff Andy Rohrich of Chaffee County, Colorado, said Arch had the children's direction pinpointed so clearly that the foot teams worked up and around above him until, from a higher location, they spotted the children with their own eyes. "Canine Arch, almost immediately, picked up a scent from the camp and started leading searchers into the wilderness," Andy said.
Around 2 p.m., roughly a mile and a half from camp, the children were found unharmed and quickly reunited with their family. Not one injury. Just three little ones back in the arms of the people who love them most.
"I can only imagine the panic they must have felt," Andy said. And of his teams and his four-legged deputy, he added one more thing. "I am very proud of them all."
Arch’s Search Brings a Terrifying Afternoon to a Joyful End
Is it not just incredible how man's best friend can save lives with nothing more than the scent of a nose? Arch never asked for glory. He simply did the work he was made to do, and three children came home because of it. Sometimes Jesus's hands and feet come with paws.
