Some strangers helped a 13-year-old hit by a car after they saw him being dragged a few hundred feet while the car was in motion. After being hit by a car and dragged under it, it’s a miracle that he’s alive. The teen’s mom is so grateful.

The boy, Anderson Castro, had approached a 4-way stop on the way home from his middle school in Georgia when he was hit. One driver had told him to cross, but another car, an SUV, hit him from behind.
Witnesses screamed at the driver to stop, and it seemed like she wouldn’t. She eventually stopped after a few hundred feet. The driver had three children in her SUV, and the accident is under investigation.
The Boy Screamed for Help
“It felt really fast. It just happened… I’m just under the car screaming for help, and I see a guy trying to help me,” Anderson recalled.
His mother is so grateful for the people who helped him and who took videos of his injuries.
“It’s a miracle. Everybody says it’s a miracle because he was under the car for I don’t know how long,” she said.
The Teen Will Be Okay After Hospital Stay
The boy is now recovering in the hospital. His left leg was completely bandaged, and some places on his body don’t have skin where they once did, sadly.
It’s such a tragic thing that happened to him. And it’s confusing why the driver didn’t stop. It’s hard to think that they were unaware that they hit someone or something—and should have at least stopped and checked.
But it’s so good that others witnessed it and got the car to stop. It is a miracle that he will be okay now. Thank God.
