Just As I Am

Just As I Am

Yes, this is the song made famous by countless Billy Graham crusades. It is also a truth about how we are accepted by Christ. Scripture tells us, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). We cannot by or earn our way into heaven, and come just as we are. This kind of acceptance—“just as I am”—is a wonderful feeling. We don’t need to do anything, can stop trying to be better in some way, and simply accept God’s grace.
