Reach Out and Touch

A reading of Scripture reflects a people who loved to touch each other. In addition to the many celebrations we read about, we see a people who touched. Notice that Jesus took time to enjoy the children, who certainly must have jumped into his lap and merrily played around him. In a poignant passage of Scripture, we notice Jesus taking a blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. There he put his hands on the man’s eyes. (Mark 8:22-26) Are you taking time to touch those whom you love? Relationships thrive with touch while those deprived of touch tend to wither and die.
