It is tempting to seek power. In fact, power can be addicting. How often have we seen those in power fall from the impact that power had on their lives? How often have we used power inappropriately in our relationships, withholding love when it was in our ability to give it? Using passive-aggressive actions to hurt someone we believe has hurt us. Scripture tells us to seek one kind of power—the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8).
