Speak Truthfully

Speak Truthfully

It is rarely easy to speak truthfully, and yet that is what we are called to do. Scripture says, “Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body” (Ephesians 4:25). Note the reason for speaking truthfully—because we are all connected to each other. If we spread deceit or cannot be trusted to tell the truth, the entire body is affected. Keep this in mind when tempted to spread rumors of deception or compromise the truth.
