The Freedom to Be Imperfect

I really dislike it when I make a mistake. I’m especially embarrassed when my mistakes are public. Yet, I’ve discovered that at times those mistakes make me more human, more approachable. We are all simply human. No one is perfect, and Scripture makes it clear, “All we like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all” (Isaiah 53:6). Aren’t you glad we don’t have to be perfect, since The Perfect One has died for all of our sins?
