He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.
The only right place for Jesus in your life is first place!
What place does Jesus have in your life right now? It is easy to feel that as long as Jesus has a high place in your life, all is okay. But Jesus does not accept any place but the first place in your life.
Are you willing to do or say things that you know displease the Lord Jesus in order to please your boss and get ahead in your business? Then you need to put Jesus in first place. Does pressure from your family cause you to downgrade your commitment to Christ? Then you need to put Jesus back in first place in your life. Do the attitudes of the people around you at uni or in your work place lead you to hide your love for the Lord? Then you need to give Jesus Christ first place in your life.
One day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. When that day comes, you will wish that you had put Christ first throughout your life. God is inviting you to start today.
