Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

God gives life and peace to those who trust him completely!

“Trust in the Lord”—the first of three calls God makes in the first section of this proverb. It’s a call to himself and it’s a call we near to hear loud and often.

As the pressures of life, the temptations of the flesh and desires of the world crowd in around us every day, we are faced with decisions. “What do I do in this situation right now?” “Do I follow my heart on this occasion?” “Is this the right decision to make?” In each step of our life God is calling us to trust in him and acknowledge his ways.

As you think about your day: that meeting you have planned—trust in the Lord for his wisdom and understanding; that relationship issue you are facing—choose to follow the Lord’s desire; that important decision you need to make—seek Gods direction and respond in obedience to him.

Today God is calling you to trust in him and acknowledge him in all your ways. And when you do He promises that he is right there, he will make straight your paths. When we respond to God and trust in him, we experience life as he intended life to be, at peace and in close relationship with Him.

So what do you choose today? To live in your own strength, seeking after yourself? Or do you choose to trust in the Lord and acknowledge him? Remember, only one of these paths are straight.

“Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.” (Proverbs 3:7-8)

God is calling you to trust him completely today.
