Paul wanted believers to know: they could still live with the virtues of God's goodness and resist their sinful nature. But they didn’t need legalism to do it.

When we put Jesus first, He gives us everything we need to face the day. When we continue the conversation with Him, He gives us His peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Remember, God made our emotions. He isn’t afraid of any of them nor can we hide from Him.

God gives us a choice. We can worry and figure things out without Him or pray and petition Him. One leads to anxiety and fear, while the other offers peace that transcends our carnal mindset.
