We need to remember, like Psalm 71 offers, that the Lord will restore our life again.

Lord God, you are the author of all time with a perfect plot and plan for every detail of my days.

When we ask God to prepare our hearts for a new year, what are we asking Him to accomplish in our lives? In looking at the life of Jesus, what did He do to prepare Himself to face each coming day and remain faithful?

Seeking God in the year is a brilliant place to start with our new plans. He does not want you to make new resolutions or commitments that do not include Him.

Be genuine as you share your community with others. Don’t hold back what you love about your people, the bible, your God, and the truth.

And it leaves its mark, like ashes of grief, in the deepest parts of our souls, where no one but God can really see.

Though my life has changed with a new hardship, God’s plans for me will not be thwarted.

Today, let us pray together

As my family fell in love with our dessert devotional time, we also fell in love with worshipping the Lord together.

When I have a pure heart, I more easily see God. With a pure heart, I more easily delight in the Lord. With a pure heart, I more easily see His heart.

Dear Father, let us seek you during the cold, dark days of winter and turn our faces and focus towards you.

I don’t know about you, but the gift of God’s constant presence is a gift that, when acknowledged, blesses me beyond measure.

When we isolate or steer clear of the local church or Christian community, we miss out terribly on the blessing and the purpose of God’s greater plan for His people.

“So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.”  1 Thess.5:11

The Spirit of God radically transformed Paul's life. As we deepen our walk with Jesus, the same happens for us, too.

All of us influence others, whether we realize it or not, especially younger people

We don’t have to walk through this Christmas season alone with a heavy, broken heart. We can harness ourselves to Jesus and let Him carry the load of our heavy hearts. 

God is giving us time and opportunities to share His gift with others before it’s too late for them, and Christmas is a perfect time to do so.

As my heart becomes more aligned with God's heart, through increased time in praise and His presence, my desires shift to His desires. And I start to see that I already have, or am in the process of unfolding, that which my heart ultimately longs...

God still wants us to tell him how we feel and look to him to help us navigate family relationships this year. He knows your family member’s heart and intention, and he knows your heart and intention. Remember, he created both of you!
