Going on vacation is always something to look forward to. There are always lots of fun things to do and see and people to meet. However, not everyone shares the same values and standards, so sometimes situations can become awkward or inappropriate. So, where can you take your kids that are Christian friendly? Here are some vacation destinations your whole family will love.

1. Exploring the Holy Land: A Journey Through Biblical History

If you have the funds, there are some amazing sites around the world that you can visit to dive deep and immerse your family in Bible history.

  • Take a trip to Israel and see Nazareth, Jesus’s birthplace. You can also see where the battle of Armageddon will take place, cross the Galilee where Jesus walked on water, drive the coast of the Dead Sea, and have lunch in Abraham’s tent. You can also float in the Dead Sea's salt water and visit Jerusalem to see Christ's crucifixion site and other magnificent locations. A trip to Israel will immerse your family in the sights, sounds, and emotions of Biblical history.
  • Other tours you can go on include the Footsteps of Paul Tour, the C. S. Lewis/Oxford, England tour, a European Reformation tour, or a Christian Cruise.

Aside from the beautiful weather and beaches, Florida has many fun Christian-oriented attractions.

Take a Biblical tour in Orlando. This tour includes a stop at the WordSpring Discovery Center, the Jesus Film Studio Center, and the Holy Land Experience. At the Wordspring Discovery Center, you can explore Bible history, different world languages, and live presentations of Bible translation. The Jesus Film studio will show you how the Jesus Film changes lives. The Holy Land Experience is a biblical theme park with an extensive collection of Biblical antiques and reenactments of Jesus’ life.

This is definitely a unique vacation destination for Christian families. According to the Bible's dimensions, it features a full-size replica of Noah’s Ark: 510 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 51 feet high. This attraction also includes reenactments of Noah and his family's lives, a zoo, ziplines, fine dining, and more. 

4. The Creation Museum (Petersburg, KY):

This attraction is not too far from The Ark, which is very convenient. This state-of-the-art museum allows people to travel through Biblical history and has stunning exhibits, botanical gardens, a planetarium, a zoo, a zipline adventure course, and more. 

5. The Museum of the Bible (Washington, D.C.)

This museum contains fascinating artifacts and offers an immersive experience of the Bible and its continuing impact on the world. It also hosts stage shows and other events. 

6. Christ Cathedral (Garden Grove, CA)

This is a great place to spend time with God and have fun in the sun with family. This church has a diverse congregation with a trilingual service, an arboretum, and a rich history. You can ensure summer fun by staying nearby, and the cathedral is only ten minutes from Disneyland. God will be with you even if you decide to take a Disneyland vacation.

7. Christ in the Smokies (Gatlinburg, TN)

This destination is similar to one in Orlando. You can experience lifelike Bible scenes from your favorite stories with music and special effects. It is a mix of educational and interactive experiences for families. This museum also has a garden. A national park nearby and many cozy lodges make this the perfect place to connect with God more deeply.

8.  Temple Square (Salt Lake City, UT)

This historic temple square sits on 35 acres in the middle of Utah’s cultural activity. You can tour the center to learn about culture and history, the temple and its history, experience the Tabernacle choir, explore your family history at the genealogy center at the family history library, and more. Since Salt Lake City is a vast place, you will also find other fun things to do.

Christian cruises are not exactly a destination, but they can take you to many fabulous destinations. Christian cruises are available all year long, so they are convenient for whenever you can get away and travel. They can include guest speakers, worship groups, comedians, and bands. This is a great way to spend time together and enjoy Christian entertainment.
