5 Key Facts Christians Should Understand about the U.S. Strike on Iran’s Nuclear Sites

For a brief moment, the global community might have thought it could breathe a sigh of relief when President Trump announced on his Truth social media that the mission to stop Iran’s nuclear ambitions was successful and a cease-fire had been reached. But only a short time later, Iran began to fire on Israel once again. Israel intercepted the launches, according to the JNS wire.
Israel intended to respond with a “forceful retaliation,” but after Trump insisted in a Truth Social Platform post picked up by JNS, “Israel. Do not drop those bombs. If you do, it is a major violation. Bring your pilots home now! Donald J. Trump, president of the United States.”
As a result, Israel only struck a radar installation in Iran and then broke off any further attack.
Missed the headlines? Here are 5 things every Christian needs to know about the strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities—and what it means for the days ahead.

Mainstream media has been denying that the military mission to bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities was successful, but many in the US government are declaring that mainstream media is manufacturing fake news.
Information was leaked to CNN reporter Natasha Bertrand, but the leak only contained information from one day, June 22, and the information was inconclusive. There were also gaps, according to the DailyWire.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt referred to the leaked information as “…flat out wrong” and “a clear attempt to demean President Trump and discredit the brave fighter pilots who conducted a perfectly executed mission to obliterate Iran’s nuclear program. Everyone knows what happens when you drop fourteen 30,000 pound bombs perfectly on their targets: total obliteration,” according to the DailyWire

The bombs used by the US military are called “bunker busters.” They’re specifically designed to go deep below the surface before exploding. With Iran’s nuclear facilities being deep underground, these particular bombs are able to penetrate roughly 200 feet below the surface before exploding. When several are dropped in succession, it has a drilling effect as each one explodes, according to the Military Times.
“We put 12 bunker buster bombs on Fordow. There’s no doubt that it breached the canopy, there’s no doubt that it was well within reach of the depth that these bunker-buster bombs go to, and there’s no doubt that it was obliterated — so the reporting out there that in some way suggests that we did not achieve the objective is just completely preposterous,” Special Envoy Steve Witkoff told WhiteHouse.gov.

Trump has posted on his Truth Social Platform that he doesn’t believe any of the uranium was able to be moved before the attacks because it would’ve been “…too long, too dangerous, and very heavy and hard to move,” according to Newsweek.
“Given the explosive payload utilized and the extreme vibration-sensitive nature of centrifuges, very significant damage is expected to have occurred. At the Esfahan nuclear site, additional buildings were hit, with the US confirming their use of cruise missiles. Affected buildings include some related to the uranium conversion process. Also, at this site, entrances to tunnels used for the storage of enriched material appear to have been hit. At the Natanz enrichment site, the Fuel Enrichment Plant was hit, with the US confirming that it used ground-penetrating munitions,” International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi told WhiteHouse.gov.
“I can say here that the assessment is that we significantly damaged the nuclear program, and I can also say that we set it back by years, I repeat, years,” IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamar told WhiteHouse.org.

“The war is a remarkable achievement. They [Iran] are starting from zero in both their nuclear program and missile capabilities, and I do not believe they will resume the program because it would mean confronting the United States,” Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich told The Jerusalem Post.
He went on to note that if Iran strikes again, Israel will respond to Iran with sanctions and economic pressure first in its attempts to bring down the regime.
In addition to their nuclear program being wiped out, Smotrich said that critical infrastructure had been destroyed.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the nation of Israel on Sunday after the United States had bombed Iran. According to The Jerusalem Post, Netanyahu’s unusual opening included the Jewish cardinal declaration of faith: Shema Yisrael – “Hear O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is one.”
During his speech, he went on to note that days before Israel struck Iran, he went to the Western Wall to pray to God.
“…I felt a deep need to wrap myself in a tallit [prayer shawl]. I recited a prayer for the success of our heroic pilots, our great officers, and the soldiers, the security of our state, and peace for our people.”
When President Trump addressed the United States, his address included the fact that the United States was standing with its ally Israel in putting a stop to Iran’s nuclear ambitions and its threat to Israel, the US, and the world. He ended his speech with, “I wanna just thank everybody, and in particular, God; I wanna just say we love you, God, and we love our great military, protect them. God bless the Middle East, God bless Israel, and God bless America. Thank you very much.”
The National Religious Broadcasters Association (NRB) released a statement on Monday that called on “Christians around the world to unite in prayer for peace, protection, and justice for all affected by the conflict.”
It also noted that “NRB stands with Christians across and around the world – from the underground church in Iran to the Jewish communities in Israel – affirming the value of every human life and the right to freedom of conscience and expression. We call for moral clarity, spiritual clarity, and compassionate action.”
