Sometimes faith does not look strong.

Sometimes it sounds like:

Jesus, help me.

That is all.

No long prayer.

No beautiful words.

No powerful declaration.

Just a tired voice trying to reach toward God.

There are seasons when pain or exhaustion reduces us to that place.

We may know all the right truths.

We may have spent years trusting God.

We may have entered the hard season believing we would stand firm.

Then reality arrives.

The recovery is longer.

The grief is heavier.

The pain is sharper.

And instead of feeling spiritually strong, we feel completely spent.

That can create a second layer of suffering.

Not only are we hurting.

We are disappointed in ourselves for how poorly we think we are handling it.
