Chris Tomlin 'The First Hymn' Lyric Video

Chris has been a powerful force within the Christian music scene for decades. Through his worship songs and empowering lyrics, his voice brings us back to the Lord. ‘The First Hymn’ is no exception as it brings our weary hearts to a place of praise. We will encounter many hardships and struggles in this world, yet the Lord will deliver us from them all. 

The main focus of ‘The First Hymn’ is recognizing God’s power and sovereignty. All glory, praise, and worship belongs to Him alone. From the beautiful sun rising in the morning to the twinkling stars at night, God is the Creator of them all. By reflecting on these truths, it can bring our heart to a place of awe and wonder. 

Chris wants us to stand in awe of God as we listen to ‘The First Hymn.’ We all need to take time and kneel before the King. Everything we see in creation was formed by God’s own hands. The mountains, the animals, the clouds, the sky, and the rain were all created by God’s loving hands. As we worship God and stand in awe, we will be brought closer to Him.

‘Let all be silent
The shining stars not sound
Rushing rivers still
Let the mountains bow down’

With hearts full of praise, we can return to ‘The First Hymn’ day after day. The lyrics will bring us to awe and wonder of our great God. Whenever we are out in nature or looking out our windows, we can reflect upon the glory of God. We may encounter problems throughout this life, yet as “The First Hymn” reminds us, we are serving the God of all glory, power, and might.  

“Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths, lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding, you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars, wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds” - Psalm 148:7-10
