Danny Gokey Releases Powerful Video for ‘Only for a Moment’

Unfortunately, not all situations and circumstances in life are joyous and reasons to celebrate. Life can sometimes be overwhelming, with all its worries and concerns weighing you down. Often, it can feel like the entire world is on your shoulders, causing you to question whether you have the strength and the will to continue.

But we can rest assured that the difficult, overwhelming period, full of heartache and pain, will pass. While going through those times, we can also have a peace that surpasses all understanding because we do not and will not go through it alone. He never leaves our side. He’s always working, guiding, protecting and directing, even when it may feel like he’s absent.

The former American Idol contestant sings of these trying situations and the need to hold on because they are “only for a moment,” and God has a plan and purpose. He knows and understands what He’s doing, and going through such a situation will help mold us into the person He wants us to be.

“His plan for you is perfect
And this season has a purpose
It’s only for a moment
It’s only for a moment”

What beautiful words that remind us that whatever difficulty or obstacle we’ve encountered is only temporary. There is something better on the other side of this hardship and trial. God’s timing is always perfect, and He is faithful. He’s never let us down before, and there’s no reason to believe He will now.

Isaiah 40:31 “But those who are waiting for the Lord will have new strength; they will get wings like eagles: running, they will not be tired, and walking, they will have no weariness.”
