Grace for Summer Friendships | Your Nightly Prayer
Some of the deepest disappointments don't come from conflict—they come from silence.
A friend who once called every week suddenly becomes busy. Text messages slow down. Life gets full. Before long, we begin wondering if we've been forgotten.
But often, the truth is much simpler.
Life changes.
Children grow.
Jobs become demanding.
Parents need care.
Schedules shift.
None of these necessarily mean love has disappeared.
Romans 14 reminds believers to pursue peace and mutual encouragement. That pursuit often begins by choosing grace over assumptions. Just as Paul continued loving fellow believers despite long separations and difficult circumstances, we too can believe the best about those we love.
Healthy friendships aren't measured by constant communication but by hearts committed to Christ-like love.
Tonight is an opportunity to release resentment, embrace compassion, and trust God with every relationship.
"So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding."
— Romans 14:19
