Grace for When You Mess Up Again | Your Nightly Prayer

Sometimes, the hardest part about grace isn’t believing it exists—it’s believing it applies to you.

We can get stuck in cycles of self-condemnation, feeling too broken or too guilty for God’s love to reach us. But the truth of Lamentations 3:22 is that His steadfast love and endless mercy are not contingent on our perfection. In this evening prayer and devotional, Amanda Idleman shares how God spoke into her season of anxiety, depression, and marriage struggles with a simple but life-changing message: “Accept my grace. It’s enough for even this.” Grace takes humility—both to receive it for ourselves and to extend it to others. And once we do, we find freedom from the crushing weight of guilt and shame. No matter how many times you’ve fallen short, His mercy is greater. Accepting grace is the first step toward healing and living in the hope-filled future God desires for you.
