In a Crosswalk exclusive interview, Jean Becker Former Chief of Staff for former President George HW Bush and Chief of staff For Former President George W. Bush sit down, for a rare interview in the former George HW Bush apartment, located next door to the former Presidents Library on the campus of Texas A&M. Becker and Card both have stories to tell of their time working with the President as they sit down on the same couch that the Bush’s sat on and shared memories, of their time working with the leaders. In the same room where the interview is recorded, all five living Presidents at the time were hosted there at once. Stories like the ones that Becker and Card reflect on can be found in Jean Becker’s new book, “Don’t Tell the President. “In the book, Becker tells stories of the advance team in getting ready for Presidential trips. Andy Card has endorsed the book, and in the rare exchange between the two, they laugh and share heartfelt stories, including Card’s detailed account of telling the President that the country was under attack on 9/11. It’s an interview like none other, all done in the apartment of the Former President.
