Surrendering the Fall Calendar | Your Nightly Prayer

As the school year, sports, and activities fill up our calendars, the pressure to keep up can feel overwhelming.

As tonight's prayer and devotional reminds us, between supply runs, carpools, and endless sign-ups, our schedules quickly balloon with commitments. Amanda shares how her own family calendar—packed with multiple kids’ needs, sports, and events—reminded her of the importance of pausing before saying yes to just one more thing. Instead of letting the season run us, we can invite God to guide our steps and direct our plans. Each year, Amanda’s church begins August with 21 days of prayer to prepare for the coming season. Maybe this fall, God is inviting you to pause, pray, and surrender every calendar item into His care. When we do, we find peace, joy, and wisdom for the season ahead.
