Well Luke, certainly one of the synoptic gospels, there's some bit of controversy whether Luke was Gentile or Jewish. It appears just from my study I would come down the side that he was Gentile. So that in itself provides a unique perspective than the other gospels do. The overall big picture of Luke is Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost.

And we find that in some of the things that show up in Luke that don't show up in the other gospels, and specifically, Luke talks a lot about the down and out kind of people. He brings in more incidents involving women than maybe all the other gospels combined. He talks about tax collectors. He talks in there several times about Samaritans and how Jesus interrelated with those folks.

I would say that the picture kind of thing, Luke was really much more about the common, lowly person than any of those other gospels speak today.

“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven." - Luke 6:37

As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” - Luke 10:38-42
