There are seasons when faith feels vibrant and clear.

Prayer comes naturally. Scripture speaks directly to the heart. God’s presence seems easy to recognize.

Then there are other seasons.

You still believe, but your thoughts feel scattered. You pray, yet struggle to focus. You read the Bible, but the words do not seem to settle as deeply as they once did.

Spiritual fog can be unsettling because it makes us wonder whether something is wrong.

But feeling foggy does not mean you have lost your faith. It does not mean God has abandoned you. Sometimes it means you are tired, distracted, grieving, overwhelmed, or simply being invited to trust God without relying on strong emotions.

Psalm 119 describes God’s Word as a lamp for our feet—not always a floodlight revealing the entire future.

A lamp gives enough light for the next step.

Tonight, you do not need complete clarity. You only need the courage to remain close to the One who sees clearly for you.

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”

— Psalm 119:105
