When You Need Guidance for the Next Step | Your Nightly Prayer
We often want God to reveal the entire plan.
We want to know where the decision will lead.
Whether the opportunity will succeed.
If the relationship will work.
If we're making the right choice.
But God frequently works differently than we expect.
Instead of handing us the complete roadmap, He gives us enough light for the next faithful step.
That can feel frustrating.
Waiting for clarity stretches our patience. We may wonder if we've missed His voice or taken a wrong turn.
Yet throughout Scripture, God rarely called His people after showing them every detail.
He called Abraham to leave before revealing the destination.
He led Israel through the wilderness one day at a time.
He invited the disciples to follow Him before they understood where the journey would lead.
Perhaps tonight you're waiting for direction about work, family, ministry, health, finances, or a relationship.
You may not receive every answer before you fall asleep.
But you can rest knowing that the God who sees the destination also walks beside you in the uncertainty.
