Young Girl Sings Angelic Rendition of ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’

  • Published Oct 09, 2023

In life, troubled and trying circumstances will visit everyone at one time or another. Unfortunately, getting out of this life without experiencing hurt and heartache and sustaining a few bruises and scars is nearly impossible. But thankfully, there are people, a select few, who will remain by our side through it all.

True friends offer a shoulder to cry on and someone to talk to during these instances. In a clip posted on YouTube, one musically gifted singer, Jadyn Rylee, showed off her skills when she covered the beloved classic “Bridge over Troubled Water.”

The beautiful tone of the young woman’s voice works perfectly with the memorable lyrics and sound of the Simon and Garfunkel classic, making for an immensely enjoyable listen. She reaches for and hits notes with relative ease. The control she maintains over her voice, making it move up and down, is jaw-dropping, especially for someone so young.

The entire song goes through a list of troubling circumstances someone in this life may encounter. However, the lyrics mention that no matter what is happening, the songwriter mentions that they will be there to offer comfort and encouragement.

The second verse points out how they will be there when times get unbearable.

“When you’re down and out
When you’re on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you
I’ll take your part”

The song is about a trusted friend and confidant during troubling situations. However, there is one who also remains near our sides during times of uncertainty, confusion and pain. Believers and followers of Christ understand that He is closer than any friend. He offers shelter from the storm and comfort from the pain.

Psalm 23:4 “Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
