MY EYES

Read: Psalm 101

Key Verse: “I will set before my eyes no vile thing. The deeds of faithless men I hate; they will not cling to me.” - Psalm 101:3

What are some vile things that people look at? How are your eyes linked to your soul? Are there visual scenes you should avoid? When you look into someone’s eyes, you can see more than just their pupils. Eyes can reveal a spiritual condition. Eyes tell you about relationships and emotions. Eyes move based on what is happening internally inside of a person.

David has had struggles with his own eyes and not honoring the Lord. In this psalm, he is making a decision to distance himself from the activities, people, and situations that would cause him to stumble. Are there any changes you need to make? David does not want haughty eyes, impure eyes, or deceiving eyes. A person of integrity will be intentional with their eyes.
