Diet and Exercise

“Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.’” Matthew 9:37

The church is a table where people come to get fed. It’s where we have an opportunity to dine on the Bread of Life, Jesus. Weekly, at church, we learn about His plan for our lives, have a chance to study His Word, and discover what our role is at the table. But we don’t just sit at the table and continually eat. At some point, we must get up from the table.

The nourishment from the food (the Bread of Life) provides us with the fuel we need to serve others! That’s what the life God has given you is all about – serving and helping others. Make sure you are practicing a good diet AND exercise routine. Dine on the Bread of Life. Then, push away from the table and serve others samples of the nourishment you are experiencing.

Thank God for the nourishment He provides you through Jesus. Ask Him for the discipline to help serve others samples of the Savior so they can experience it as well.

The greatest way to exercise your faith is by serving others.
