Get Under to Get Over

“Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.” Romans 13:1

Everything in our lives is part of an authority structure. God is a God of authority. He has set into place the different authority figures in our lives to help us on many levels – even our government. Our responsibility is to understand that structure, and to submit to God’s authority structure in our lives.

When we stand under God’s authority, we understand God’s authority. And we find ourselves in a position of protection, purpose, and power. Authority is not in our lives to keep us down. Authority is in your life to elevate you to experience all God has for you!

Thank God for His authority in your life. If you are struggling with an authority structure, pray for discernment and understanding of that structure.

Remember this phrase: We need to get under the things God has placed over us so we can get over those things God has put beneath us.
