Our Unique Callings

At a Work as Worship conference in Dallas, several business leaders shared differing approaches on how they express their faith in their business. Steve Green, President of Hobby Lobby, shared about their obedience to God’s leading to close their stores on Sunday, and also to run newspaper ads on Easter and Christmas.

Another leader, Alan Barnhart of Barnhart Crane and Rigging, donated 99% of their stock and profits to a charitable foundation, and developed an internal purpose statement that discusses their desire to glorify God.

Psalm 62:12 says, “You, O Lord, are loving. Surely you will reward each person according to what he has done.”

Each of us has a unique calling and approach. God will reward us according to our obedience and our results. What is your unique calling?
