Expanded Thinking

A friend challenged me over lunch about our fundraising plans. He knew the vision God had given me was much greater than the amount of funding I had been requesting. He encouraged me to think longer term and ten times bigger than I had been.

Immediately I felt resistance rise instead of me. “Rick,” my friend said, “You need to overcome the resistance you feel and expand your thinking. Then trust God for the result.” He was right.

Romans 12:2 teaches, “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is.”

As you consider your plans for the New Year, overcome any resistance to expanded thinking.
