The Flaw of Family Values

According to Barna Group research, 17% of people surveyed base their ethical decisions upon “family values.” Michael Franzese was trained to make his business decisions according to his “family values.”
The only problem was that he was part of the Colombo crime family. As part of the Mafia, Michael learned a Machiavellian approach to business that landed him in prison.
Organizations are composed of many different family values mixed together. This makes creating a consistent ethical culture throughout the entire organization challenging.
In Psalm 119:29 the psalmist cried out to God, “Remove the false way from me,
And graciously grant me Your law.”
If you’ve been steeped in family values counter to God’s law, pray that God will remove the false ways in you and learn to embrace His ways.
